Hi: When I try to get to sleep I find it difficult to breath. I use a 2016 Respironics Dream Station bipap machine. My doctor has adjusted my settings a few times, including the ramp feature. Does anyone else experience this and what do you suggest? I am very frustrated because I can't get to sleep initially, but usually can after a couple to three hours. Help?

The most common problem is that the minimum pressure and ramp start pressure is set too low. My suggestion is that the minimum pressure should be at least 7 cm, and perhaps even higher depending on what pressure you need to control your apnea. Do you know what your settings are?

The automatic setting was a complete game changer for me! You may try that.
