I cant believe I am asking this question. I picked up a resmed asv loaner, device number 662 on Friday. I used it once and entered the results in sleepy head. It is showing centrals. I thought the machine eliminated centrals completly. Also the machine didnt feel any different than my current aircurve 10 vauto. I looked at the front of the machine and it says aircurve 10 vauto. I looked on the resmed site and their asv has asv on the front. The lady at the outlet thinks its an asv. What gives??

It's simple BS, the lady is wrong, it is a VAuto, not an ASV!!! On her behalf, both machines are ResMed AirCurve 10s. WAY different algorithms though.

Thanks bonjour. They have admitted that they have screwed up. Scary stuff. I am scheduled to pick up an asv tomorrow but i am concerned about their competence in setting the machine up correctly.

On Apneaboard.com/forums they have many ASV users and are more than capable of having your back. The bottom line is that basic ASV setup is simple, just follow the titration guide.

Min EPAP 4, Max EPAP 15, Min PS 3, Max PS 15, Ramp Off

Many thanks bonjour. First night AHI is O.1. It will be interesting to see what happens when I move from 500 feet altitude to 5000 feet in October.
