I have had my Resvent Auto Pap for a week, and it hasn’t worked right yet. Every morning about 4:00 or 4:30, it starts losing pressure. It doesn’t matter how many hours I’ve had it on before then. It just barely blows at that time. It says it’s at level 6, but there’s no way it is. It’s not nearly as strong as when I go to sleep. I took it to the sleep clinic, but they ran it for 7 hours and couldn’t find any problems with it. Why would it be doing this at 4:00 every morning? It’s something to do with the time of morning obviously and not the number of hours. Has anyone else had this issue? It’s so frustrating that after a week I haven’t gotten a full night’s sleep yet. Thanks so much.

I am not familiar with that brand of CPAP, and it does not appear to be supported by the freeware program, OSCAR, which can display detailed data captured on the SD card. Without that, I am not sure how to diagnose what the issue may be. Does it give you a sleep report with the frequency and type of apnea events? If so, what has your AHI been over the week? An automatic cpap will only use enough pressure as is needed to control apnea events. It is possible it is backing off the pressure because there are no apnea events to respond to. However, if your AHI is going up and is over 5 then that indicates there may be a problem.
