Just a couple of weeks into cpap use. Had figured out that wearing a ponytail and pulling it through the slot in the strap of the dreamwear headgear helped keep it on. But then I started taking the mask off in the middle of the night without noticing. Figured out that it works to use bobby pins to anchor the strap into my hair (hopefully I won't learn to remove multiple bobby pins in my sleep!). Just thought this might help someone else.
The other thing I have found helpful in keeping the mask straps in place is a satin pillow protector. They seem to be intended to be used to keep your hairdo intact, but I find they are slippery enough to allow your head to move on the pillow without dislodging the mask straps. There are some quite inexpensive ones at Bed Bath and Beyond in the US and Canada. They have a zipper to keep the cover on. Normally a satin pillow case is hard to keep on the pillow.
