Yes I saw the great price on the machine I was prescribed, now if only I could buy it through my insurance but the website doesn't take insurance, and it would defeat the point of me being on Medicare. But I will discuss it with my health plan insurance if I get another ridiculous quote from another vendor.

I have just been diagnosed with CSA and Complex SA, and so was prescribed a DreamStation ASV machine. I have medicare and medicare advantage health plan. What I thought would be a logical and easy experience is turning into a frustrating nightmare. My local supplier, which is in a rural area quoted in the beginning what I thought was a reasonable price, then 3 days later upped it by 40%, so obviously I did not rent from them. I cannot get a DME supplier to give me a quote without having to supply them with my prescription, sleep study and case notes??!! I want to compare prices and make an informed decision but it's becoming an impossibility. I have asked my health plan for help but am getting nowhere.

Has anyone on the forum experienced this, or am I going about this the wrong way? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
