Sierra, I am so happy to find someone as knowledgeable as you to get info from.
Thanks, Marty
By the way, this morning after using it showed pressure at 7.1 I assume this was what it reached at peak?
I just received my new Resmed airsense10. First night, absolutely quiet! The wife was able to get a good nights sleep. My ahi was slightly higher 1.7 compared to 0.7 The new machine is set to autoset mode with pressure L 5 to H 10 as compared to old machine cpap mode and pressure of 9
I think I would prefer to keep my AHI events low as I do not mind the present 9cm. The 9cm was recommended by the one and only sleep study 4 years ago. I had shown both obstructive and central apnea at that study, however not very high counts, and at 9cm it was 0. My 3 months average AHI had been 0.3 with the pressure set at 9cm. I will try to discuss the settings with the clinician prior to him coming to set it up.
I have been using the resmed 10 autosense with the setting CPAP and pressure set at 9. The new machine they are setting it to AutoSet with max 9 and min 5 pressure. This change in settings is not based on a new sleep study. What impact will this have on me? Should I be concerned? Thanks,
They say to change the N30 pillow every two weeks. Is this so they can sell more pillows or do they go bad after a couple of weeks?
Thanks for your help. If I do not resolve the problem, I will order a new one. Of course after I get it a new model will come out.
I did not see any silicone gasket that seal the reservoir to the machine.
Thank you very much for the information. I guess I will put it back to slimline. If I cannot eliminate the hissing, I guess I will get a new machine. Wish I knew when Resmed will be coming out with a newer model.
Thanks again,
Since I have central apnea, the set pressure is at 9.0. Does that mess up the pressure by me changing the setting of the tube to regular?
