Does anyone have this issue? I have had several sleep studies in the past year and the technicians all say I have breakthrough snoring. I had my tonsils and adenoids taken out when I was very young, so that cannot be an issue. Visited with an ENT yesterday who told me he can't help me with the breakthrough snoring. I have worn braces for over 5 years now and hope to get them off soon, so the ENT doctor advised me to check with the Orthodontist to see if a TAP appliance will interfere with the ortho treatment. If not, it could correct the issue.

Any thoughts?? I'm desperate here. I live with my fiancee' and I'm really tired of one of us having to relocate in the middle of the night to another bedroom because of this.

Some more information regarding your condition would be helpful. Breakthrough snoring is usually a term used with people using pap treatment but then you go on to mention possibly getting a TAP in the future. Are you on pap therapy? If so what are your settings? are you monitoring your treatment with an application program? Or are you someone who does not have sleep apnea and just snores loudly occasionally?
