Fyi. There is a company called Pad a Cheek that makes all kinds of coverings for c pap head gear and hoses at very reasonable prices, and will even custom make. I spent nearly an hour on the phone with the owner last week and got the absolute best advice and support I have had to date!

Just an update on this journey with the CPAP. I saw the Doctor and he order a Comfort Gel Face Mask. Let me say - it was a terrible experience. My nose got so sore that I could not wear my glasses, I could not get the fit so the seal would not break. I was averaging 2-3 hours of sleep per night. So, I called my DME guy and he suggested a Amara View Full Face Mask. By far this is the best fit for me. I have had no skin break down around the mask, I can leave my glasses and read, and the seal is very easy to maintain. I am sleeping 6 -7 hours per night. Thank you for all of the suggestions, I am feeling so much better about this. But the best part is that I am no longer in the guest bedroom. The noise from the Amara doable for both of us. Thanks for all of the suggestions.

@Kathie - Thank you for sharing, Kathie! Thank goodness there are so many masks on the market for the diverse face shapes and types of skin. I know many of you have experienced going through several mask interfaces until reaching the one just right for you. Hats off to those successes and enjoy your increased alertness and productivity!

I have been using my Res Med cpap with nasal pillows for the last two weeks. The AYR gel works wonders and I do it before putting on the mask. I have also noticed I am sleeping longer and feeling much better in the mornings with more energy. I was wondering what the readers on here thought of the pig mask thought about trying it out? I do like nasal pillows but you can get sore.

Hi ImaginativeDesertSandButterfly2260. I have used nasal pillows for many years now, but I did have a sore nose when starting out. In fact, I had to alternate between nasal mask and nasal pillows until I adjusted to the pillows. I now use pillows nightly with no problems.
