Why does the air pressure increase to the point I can not exhale against it. It wakes me up and I have to turn the machine off to reset it. This happens several times a night and I am not getting rest. I still wake up in the morning tired.

@BS - Can you please tell me if the machine you have is a CPAP or a Bilevel unit? Should it be the latter, chances are that your exhalation setting is a bit higher than you can tolerate. Also, do you have a ramp setting on the unit? Thank you for your posting, and I look forward to your response.

It's An Apap sittings 5 to 12 and they won't change it without the doctors ok. I asked him why it did that and he said my body calls for it. I don't feel that was a very good answer. Didn't explain why.
