I was woken multiple times by a clunking noise. Finally I had to give up and take off the mask for the night. Could this have related to water in the tubing? Why would that happen? What else might it be?

Hi Tulip44

Do you have a climate control hose?

Is it possible that you are overfilling the humidifier?

Are you still using nasal pillows?

I have no answers but there are always lots of questions!

As BUG said, is there any chance there is moisture collecting in the hose? It is probably not a good idea to have a loop in the hose so that water cannot drain out of it. A heated hose usually prevents any moisture build up. The only time I got significant moisture in the tube was when I moved the machine when the humidifier was full of water and some must have leaked into the hose. That was a bit of an experience!

There is a filter on the machine that is to be changed periodically, but that is not a likely cause.

Thank you for the replies. I do have a humidifier, and it's possible one night it got overfilled. It's more likely the hose got looped or something caused moisture. I cleaned all the equipment and let it dry thoroughly. No more clunking.
