I've been using a CPAP machine for about 6 weeks and have tried 4 different masks. I have a full beard. Two of the masks are nasal and I need to wear a chin strap which is not only uncomfortable, but I take it off during my sleep without realizing it. The other 2 masks are full face but I have lots of leaks. Has anyone with a full beard found a mask that works? Thanks.

I have a full beard and use an Amara View mask. The headgear isn't great and I had the missus make me up a small pad to put behind the back but I get few leaks because of my beard. I am also old and ugly so can't help with those issues.

I too have a beard. Been on cpap since July. I have tried nasal masks and pillows but I do tend to open my mouth. So I tried the Resmed F20 Air fit and AirTouch. I am getting the best performance from the AirTouch F20 large averaging 9L/min nightly. I rotate between two cushions weekly. Everything gets a wipe down with a cpap wipe each morning and I wash the cushion along with everything else in the sink once a week. It takes around 3 days for the memory foam to dry fully. As of Nov 14th I will have been using the same 2 cushions for 4 months without replacement. I have modified the headgear with hardhats forehead sweatband to eliminate face creases. This works better than the specialty mask pads commercially available and cost about 1/4 the price.

Those are some good tips.
