Hi all. I've been diagnosed with OSA about 2 weeks ago. I was having 17 hourly episodes which fell to 1 after trialling the machine. Things seemed to be too perfect and the nasal mask fit perfectly and my results were some of the best they've seen, but in the second week things have gone bad and I actually feel worse than before diagnosis. I did play around with the adjustment straps and read that I might have it too tight, so last night I loosened them so the mask was a floating fit that doesn't leak. Today I feel crap again after having 8 hours sleep. Is this just a phase or something or should I have my mask refit? Cheers

Getting your mask to work for you is the most difficult part of CPAP. You will need to learn how to adjust your mask. The manufacturer will usually have some tips or a video.

On the mask type, you may want to ask about a nasal pillow type if that is still an option for you. They tend to be easier to adjust and more comfortable for most.
