Folks have indicated that heated humidification, a room humidifier and such are helpful for dry mouth. My Resmed BIPAP has heated humidity and it can be served up on a scale from 0 to 8 where zero means it is off and 8 means it is fully on. The humidity is heated a bit and there is also a pre-heater. I had not found humidity and a room humidifier very helpful and awoke each morning with a very very dry mouth. My lips would chap and I suspect the soft tissue inside my mouth was also being affected. Somewhere, I heard about a mouthwash called Biotene and after purchasing some and using it can attest that it has greatly reduced morning dry mouth for me. Not sure if it is the answer for everyone but it is worth giving it a shot. It is pretty mild stuff and doesn't contain any alcohol. Anyway, I don't work for the Biotene company; just thought it might help someone else.
