I was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea and got an AirSense 10 AutoSet. My question, which I cannot find in the manual, is what do I do when I get up in the middle of the night to use the restroom? Do I push the start/stop button to turn it off then push it again when I get back into bed? Or, do I just unhook myself and let the machine figure it out? Is there a set procedure?

The machine figures it out. Even when you get up in the morning and don't push the "off" button, it will figure it out. Log on to your portal at resmed.com/myair, and you'll see your detailed reports. So, get some good rest and don't trouble yourself with pushing buttons.

I haven't been able to get any report on my portal since I started this. I signed up immediately and answered the many questions and.set upy account. Everytime I went in it first kept saying the network is not available . This happened for several weeks. Lately I can get into research and patient reports but I can't get into any of my info or reports. It always rejects my password. I think I just now finally got it changed successfully. I have been very frustrated with the online non support. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.

I have a Resmed machine and had a hard time setting up the account initially. Never got a response to my set up via email so had to use my work email. Password has specific things that must be in it such as a capital letter, a number and I "think" must be 7 characters. In any case, the way this thing works is that the Resmed server seems to poll units perhaps once or twice a day and they must respond at that time so if the unit is turned off at any point and the server queries the machine, it seems to not catch the data. My data used to be available in an hour or so after I stopped therapy but now it can be delayed up to two days, even with the machine on.

There is some software out there called Sleepyhead which I haven't begun using but it is more detailed and I think you need to remove a chip and have it be read by your computer somehow. In any case, if the Resmed myair thing doesn't work, you may want to look into the Sleepyhead software for the vital feedback needed to make intelligent decision on how to improve therapy. I have no idea how to contact Resmed for support regarding their myair program.

Hi Colorado51man. The short answer is you can do whatever you prefer. You can simply remove your mask and let the machine run, or you can stop the machine and start it again. Some people prefer to turn the machine off because most machines will restart treatment at a lower pressure and ramp the pressure up as they fall back to sleep. Others, like me, do not mind the pressure and simply put the mask back on and go back to sleep. The machine is capable of detecting actual breathing, so the data will be correct either way. Best wishes!
