I will be traveling this summer to France, and my host says, "We have an universal adapter for your electronic devices. If you have many devices, you only need to bring a multiple outlet with you. The voltage of European outlet is 220v." I've read confusing and conflicting information online about what kind of adapter I need to take with me so that my ResMed Elite will work in France. Does anyone happen to know?

I have a ResMed Aircurve 10 and not sure what an "Elite" is. In general, the ResMed machine will take line AC voltage (110V in States) and transform it down via a power supply to DC voltage. DC voltage is what the ResMed PAP machine runs on. You can buy an external step down transformer from eBay and will have to find a plug adapter to plug the US style plug into a Euro type plug and then plug your machine's power supply into this.

The alternative is to google "resmed power supply" and a number of these will pop up. Not sure what the DC requirements are for your machine or what the French version of the Euro style AC plug is but this is one I found:

This one steps the 220V down to the DC voltage needed for a Resmed S9 machine. Keep in mind a different model (like you Elite) may need some other DC voltage. If you Elite is in the S9 family, the innards of all S9 machines are pretty much the same so this power supply may work. I would talk to the seller to ensure the application.
