Hello,

I am in the process of getting a new CPAP machine and I would like to know what Medical Equipment campanies are good in Massachusetts. So, Far I have seen some bad reviews from Cape Medical Supplies and Few other places. I use to use Denmarks years ago but they are out of business. So, if anyone knows what company I can use so that I can get my new CPAP machine and where I can find reviews as well. My doctor tells me all of them are bad...which cannot be true I know there are some really good companies out there. I live in the New Bedford area so any places near by would help. Thank you so much

Paulie

The more important question is which insurance companies have specific DMEs in their network. Medicare only has a limited number who are "low bidder" types and the list changes yearly. Other insurance companies (was once under Humana) only work through specific DMEs. Go to your insurance carriers website and they will generally have lists of DMEs in your area then figure out which is best suited for your needs.

Hi

I did contact my Insurance Tufts and they gave me two pages of DME's but thought I ask on board here what they recommend. I will be meeting with the Cape Cod Medical Supply store so hopefully they will do a good job. This will be my third one. Anyways, thanks I will keep you posted on my experiences

Check the DME on BBB and google and look at customer reviews. The extra effort may save you some grief down the road. MANY of the DMEs out there seem to have tons of complaints and/or are engaged in shady business practices. Good luck!
