Recently, I have been waking up with my mouth so filled with air that I have to open it up to let it escape. Why is this happening. I have been using my CPAP machine for years. I have lost weight and am wondering if the pressure is now too high. Any ideas?

Some quick questions. What kind of mask are you using? What are your set pressures? How is your AHI?

I wonder if you should switch to an automatic setting with the weight loss.

On some further thought, you may want to try wearing a simple chin strap to try and keep your mouth closed while sleeping.
