new user who long suffered from apnea. now useing an airsense10 and it has a very significant positive imact! however my apnea is/was severe and the machine will run up to 19 when im sleeping heavily. This has caused seal issues with my FFM. as a result i have continued to increase the strap tension, this has caused the lower straps to start leaving permant irrtation marks on my lower jaw and cheek.
I am 2 weeks in and am concerned that if it continues it will get to the point that i wont be able to tollarate the straps due to irritation. Am i not understanding something or is this a common issue for those of us on high pressure.

fyi 19 in-h2o * rough calculation of FFM area = 4 lbs force

Unfortunately, this is not unusual for people with high pressure. What model of FFM do you have? There are several good ones, and one of the best things you could do is to try a different model to see if it fits you better, which would then mean the straps don't need to be so tight. Also remember that a bit of leak is not the end of the world.
