For the past year my BiPap has been getting louder and louder. It's a ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto BiPap. I’be had it/been using it 2.5 years. I have no clue if it was new when I got it from Apria Healthcare through Kaiser Permanente. It shows 5437 hours which makes me think it was indeed new. Its been hissing more and more all night long over the past year but is now staring to whine like a hurt cat. The noise is coming from he left side near the intake but removing or replacing the filter hasn't helped. Here's a link to a video of it in my OneDrive. Listen to entire 30 seconds to hear the full whine: https://stricklandit-my.sharepoint.com/:v:/g/personal/zack_zackstrickland_com/EbheaGQvdYhOuwYu9BCE3roBTZ8EeL4HjIJXs2jvCDy3Wg?e=CmnKuG

It certainly does not sound healthy. Unfortunately the standard warranty is 2 years. 5400 hours does not seem like much. Machines should last 20,000 hours or more.

My current machine is heading towards 16,000 hours.

It'll take a year and a half to get to the 20,000 mark.

What happens then Sierra? :O

Is it like the sunglasses in mission impossible?

Will it pop up a little warning notice and self destruct?

My wife's S9 is currently at 18,400 hours, and still going strong. What will happen? The only thing I know for sure is that it will make my wallet lighter at some point!

We have a portable machine that our son didn't like and gave us. It is our back up in case one fails. At least over here you can get a new machine in a week or so, and overnight if you want to pay extra.

I've got a backup machine too, but it's across 2 state borders and a patch of ocean that are all currently closed, with military personnel on every road and crossing.

To make things even more complicated the machine I am using belongs in that state, so if it fails I won't be able to do anything about it from here.

I had only intended to be in Sydney for a short time but, as per usual, chaos rules!

A lot has happened since I last brought my CPAP over with Jetstar Airlines. Jetstar

I suppose I could order another machine from overseas, it'd only take a week or so to get here, but I'd probably have to sell my horde of toilet paper to pay for it! :O

Do you want some vintage toilet paper Sierra? I'll give you a super special discount and I can even arrange express postage! :)

It'll make great earplugs for noisy BiPap machines and camper's generators!

Come on now! This is not an offer you will get every day!

You just can't beat good old vintage Aussie toilet paper with that unique complex aroma of dusty shed and an elegant dose of fragrant garden chemicals subtly combined with the deeply embedded earthy opulence of mice. It just doesn't get any better than this!

Sounds luxurious, and I was led to believe that Aussies were being forced to use newspaper that the paper publisher left blank to prevent ink stains on the privates...

More seriously, my private stock of toilet tissue is nearly used up. I may have to put it on the shopping list again...

Well those news papers are on the way to becoming rare collectibles amongst the memorabilia and historical societies but, seeing as how you have shown such a keen interest, and as you don't seem to have a horde of your own, I suppose I could let you have one ......... for the right price! :P
