This type positive air pressure machine goes by a variety of names, depending on manufacturer. It varies in a range prescribed by your doctor and is prescribed for specific medical reasons. I am sure this type machine is best suited for the reasons the prescription was written and since I don't use one, can't really comment; I use a bipap which has two pressures... a breathe in pressure and a breathe out pressure. The breathe out pressure is a bit lower to allow easier exhalation. This type machine was prescribed as I require max pressure to keep my airways open I guess.
