If most (all) of the air was escaping through my mouth, wouldn't that show up as a leak? My leak % is usually very close to 0
I was recently diagnosed with severe apnea. I averaged 90 interruptions per hour. For the last 6 weeks, I have been using a Philips Respironics Dream Station with a nasal mask. My interruptions per hour have dropped to around 1. Most mornings, I wake up with extremely dry mouth. I assume I am opening my mouth during the night. I can tolerate the dry mouth. My question is, if I am opening my mouth, does that invalidate the results I am getting from the machine? Are my interruptions higher than 1?
