Does anyone else do this? Just stop breathing the minute you fall asleep and not breathe again until your O2 drops to 70 or below?
I seem to spend a significant part of my night doing this.
After years of snoring plus my ex-wife also telling me that i often just stop breathing, I finally was referred to a sleep clinic, after pointing out to the Dr, that I didnt really think that my marginally high red blood cell count was due to smoking cigars.
Results from Home Sleep test showed AHI 74.. They scheduled an in lab titration and found CSA as I had feared.. Awaiting my machine in the first week of august.. In the meantime, I bought a recording fingertip oximeter CMS50D.
Apparently - best I can figure - I breathe out, and only breathe in when CO2 builds up - I drop below 60 often and repeatedly when not in REM
I'm 60 but just diagnosed less than 30 days ago
