I was told not to soak the part of the resmed heated hose that plugs into the machine, but the rest is good to soak. If a little water gets on the plug part, I just dry it quickly with a tissue.
I ended up putting a thin layer of neosporin cream under my nose, and that has done the trick!
I am having the same problem. I may slip a piece of gauze between my face and the mask tonight.
