I have extensive experience in troubleshooting and, never-the-less, went through all the recommendations given in this forum. Thanks for all your inputs.
My ResMed Air10 died in the middle of the night. I have an older CPAP as a spare and have an appointment with the VA to get the Air10 tested and repaired or replaced. I have a lot electronic experience as a computer systems tech. It is very rare to have a power supply go bad. Has anyone had this problem? What was the fix?
Thanks to all of you for the helpful advice.
The VA gave me cloth covers for my CPAP mask with the explanation that they would seal the mask better and keep my nose and face from chapping and rubbing issues. The problem is if I fully cover the mask to the top, the extraneous hanging cloth gets in the way of my eyes and irritates them. So, I move the cloth down a bit so that won't happen, but then I get the occasional leak at the top of the mask. An interesting, but not very helpful addition to my gear.
I currently have a bad cold, which includes a cough because of mucus drainage. It is rather a pain if I have to cough in the middle of the night. Taking the mask off just to do so is an issue especially when I don't want to awaken my wife. Any suggestions?
Hi, I'm Marty. In 2011, I woke up a few times in the middle of the night after dreams that I was not breathing, and I wasn't. Decided to engage an ENT. After a sleep study, Dr. Schroeder said I had a deviated septum that was s-shaped and offered to correct it for me. I took him up on that and things were a lot better. However, a couple of years later, my wife noted that I was sleeping with a buzzing noise although I was not experiencing the breathing stoppage any more. Back to the doctor and he ordered another sleep test. It indicated I stopped breathing approximately 50 times during the night. I was then issued a CPAP which has been working fine. Nice thing is that I am registered with th VA and found out they will supply updates equipment and supplies.
