I've been sleeping with a CPAP machine every night for 15 years . I have never had problems. The last few mouths I have had noticed that my mouth seems to fill up with air and is then forced out of my mouth . I am not a mouth breather and have never had this problem . This results in episodes of course . My pressure is set at 10 . It's as if my throat is closing and the air isn't been forced down my throat but forced out of my mouth . I even have tried propping myself up with pillows. 6 months ago I had a hip replacement and it resulted in a shower of many large pulmonary embolisms which landed me in the hospital for a few days. My pulse ox numbers are always 92 or above while laying down . Occasionally I had a 88 reading with rapid heart rate which would return to normal after a few minutes . Anyone have this problem or any ideas as to what is happening ?
