Hi,
What is a DME?
Have you been tested for thyroid dysfunction?
Hi, I too continue to feel sleepy during the day despite 100% compliance with CPAP and an average of 0.5 events per hour. My first night on CPAP was amazing, I woke up refreshed ... A new woman. That was in November 2016, however, in January 2017, a respiratory virus caused an exacerbation of my moderate asthma, my thyroid function destabilised and my iron level dropped significantly. Despite correcting all of the conditions, I continue to find it difficult to sleep therefore no longer reap the benefits of my CPAP machine. Perhaps in your case you also need something investigated or corrected? Maybe you are still overwhelmed by your diagnosis and stress is playing a roll. Have a think about what else is going on and go back to your local doctor for advice. Good luck!
Don't despair, try to get some benefit from using your machine which will make you feel better and lift your spirits. Lots of women your age wear dentures and that doesn't stop them dating. When you are feeling better you might find it easier to find a partner. if you take time to get to know the person first, by the time you are ready to sleep with them, your machine should not be an issue. if it is, you have found the wrong guy, simply put in your teeth, pick up you machine and move on.
