Have one for me. I'm saying it can't hurt and the sleep doctors 1... Haven't got a clue about any of this 2....Have found their pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. If you can spell or say snore you have sleep apnea 3... Get you on a machine, get the funds rolling in then disappear under the same rock your DME disappeared under. Suddenly the one health benefit you have been missing your whole life has no benefit, no answers and major problems with the machine, breathing and you mean nothing.I know we have problems because of the coronavirus but I made an appointment in January, couldn't get in until May. Got cancelled for May then called back and said I could keep the appointment. The appointment disappeared from my patient portal so I called. They rescheduled me for November. I can't breathe. I was referred to this doctor by my neurosurgeon after U had a ruptured brain aneurysm and subarachnoid hemorrhage stroke. No biggie...I have emphysema and, per my PCP, I also have COPD. I will probably be dead by November. But they got their cash out of me and THAT'S what's important.
I couldn't find any recent or open forums on cleaners so I will try a new one. I am looking at cleaners and the more I read the less I think they are for me. I also use oxygen with my BiPap because I have COPD.
The talk about ozone is pretty darned scary. But washing my tube, mask and humidifier tank with water makes no sense to me. If I am trying to eliminate germs and mold caused by the water then how does washing them in water or water and vinegar help when the hose doesn't dry after it's washed. That's water laying around in that hose. Has anybody figured out a safe, efficient and affordable way to actually sanitize their machine?
I guess everybody has just a accepted this as the new norm? Several years ago I would comment on the new and upcoming customer service reps and say it is scary to think that when I can't take care myself anymore these are the people who will take care of me. I had no idea how scary and how far that went. I didn't go to medical school so I shouldn't have to download OSCAR and read my own charts. Doctors, nurses (pretending to be doctors) and DME suppliers are being paid millions of dollars a day by Medicare and by me to read these numbers for me.
When I did my sleep study, I had a 70 on my AHI. I am now anywhere from 2.7 to 26.5 with a monthly average of 11.7. My doctor's response...it's lower than 70. Ya' think? So I can assume as long as I keep it below 70, I am doing good. Next comment of the year...he asked me what I think we should do. I really don't know, give me a chance to check with Dr. Google and I'll get back with you. I guess I just need to download OSCAR, read and learn. Sadly, my days of learning are gone.
