@dawnnnny Hello, thank you for your posting and congratulations on your new daytime alertness! It sounds like you are on your way, and the longer you use your CPAP, the more you will become accustomed to this new friend. It is very likely you will start to stay asleep even with the mask on very soon. Keep up the good work, and, most importantly, don't give up! I look forward to hearing from you again soon.
@ToughPrussianBlueMoose7250 - Congratulations on your success! It makes life better, doesn't it? :-)
I understand. The reason I brought this up was that I wondered how many people were aware of the cloth mask that is not available. I would imagine using one of those would reduce the perspiration quite a bit. Has anyone here tried one of the cloth masks?
Also @ResourcefulBeigeLeopard2581 - I have another question for you regarding the heat bothering you. Do you experience any "heat" discomfort from the mask itself? Or the mask itself causing facial perspiration? Is there anyone else here with these complaints?
@ResourcefulBeigeLeopard2581 Thanks for your posting! May I ask if you have tried directing one of the house fans to blow right on your mask/face?
This member ( @UnassumingOcherSpider0496 ) is reaching out asking the question above. Is there someone in this forum community willing to share a situation related to high red blood cell count prior to a sleep study? Thank you in advance!!
Hi @Joseph - Sometimes referred to as an apneic event , or episode, a pause in breathing must last 10 seconds or more for the "event" classification. Obstructive apnea events can last as long as two minutes and are almost always associated with a reduction in the level of oxygen in the blood. Think about how hard this is on the body's organs! What's more, the sleeping person with apnea may have no idea this is happening many more times throughout the night!
If you have any other questions about your report, I will be happy to help!
Thank you for using the forums to learn!! :-)
@Joseph - I forgot to add that if you would like to send me a screenshot of what you are seeing, that would be very helpful :-) My email is tshumard@sleepapnea.org
@Joseph - Could you tell me what you are looking at, Joseph? I can better explain if I know what is in front of you. Thanks for asking the question!
@EnergeticCobaltBlueGoat9394 - I'm very happy to hear your new equipment has made a difference for you. It is very interesting being able to watch your numbers online, and it's great you are taking the initiative to check! It will make such a difference in you feeling empowered. Does anyone reading this have a similar circumstance?
