Hi,
I was diagnosed a few years ago with Sleep Apnea. I was prescribed a CPAP device and used it for a few months. I found myself waking up in the middle of the night feeling like I was having an Asthma attack (I dont have Asthma). So bad that I had to go outside to get fresh air. My sense of smell was intensified and it seemed like I could detect the smallest of dust particles in the air and it would trigger the same feeling of having an Asthma attack. (All I can say is I am very happy I do not have Asthma, its a horrible feeling).
I stopped wearing the CPAP device and eventually my sensitivity to smell and the "Astham" attack like symptoms went away. However my exhaustion and sleepless nights (tossing and turning alot) did not.
I am hoping some of you can share if you have had this experience as well? If so what were you able to do to make adjustments? Are you still using the CPAP? Another device?
Are there other options?
Thank you for your help!
