Haven't yet received my Resmed 10, but do know So Clean sells adapters designed to fit various machines which clean hoses, humidification and other internal parts.
Saw a Craigslist ad by someone selling a brand new one (for above what my DME co-Apria-charges, lol) and claiming they had inadvertently ordered the wrong adapter (which looks like a replacement cover for humidifier reservoir).
Echo other comments /questions seeking specifics. Pondering "why" things happen or not is too often unproductive; so make sure you grabbed all the low hanging fruit...
Only times I've suffered any sort of insomnia have been based on stress -emotional, psychological, financial...and there aren't usually easy resolutions to those. What has worked has been...
Exercise: activities that make you sweat, strain, huff and puff are a good tonic to what preoccupies the mind. They tire the body, and while doing them with effort they're all you can think about.
Good sleep hygiene: so many good online articles recommending- setting regular lights out, plus a ramp down period without electronic stimulation before bed. A quick shower or bath further relaxes the body. Maybe reading in bed works for you, but nothing engrossing!
And of course continue pursuing answers from professionals to make sure there isn't something else causing the trouble staying asleep.
~good luck, and sweet dreams :)
First post howdy! Just an old (66, male) noob re: apnea, but I've already found reassurance and good info reading here.
Had my first sleep study 1 week ago, breathlessly (lol) awaiting results. It went great, and despite all the gear and fussing, next morning I felt amazing. Going in I feared hypochondria...but mid-test, when the nice tech came to hook me to Cpap device I asked "did I even sleep?" Her answer..."yes, but it wasn't pretty!"
I live alone and my (whippet) dog never complained about my snoring, perhaps finding it endearing? Lol.
I'll probably be doing what many of y'all been doing...posting questions about gear, fitment and work arounds...seeking full compliance, and positive results. Thanks for this resource, and everyone's candid sharing.
