I would love to use the nose or nasal pillows but I am a mouth breather. I didn't think I could use these.
Hello, I am 63 yrs old and have been using my CPAP for about 6 months. I must admit I have a love hate relationship with it. I love that I sleep better ( my husband sleeps better also ), and I think better. I hate it because some nights it just feels so uncomfortable that I can barely stand to wear it. It seems like it sticks to my face and feels tacky.
I changed my mind because I was performing so badly at work I could have lost my job. I also had no energy for my husband and family (including my four legged) and just wanted to spend my off time sleeping, only to wake up tired. I now wonder why did I wait so long.
I have been using my CPAP machine for about 2 weeks now and can't believe the difference. My husband has commented on how I have changed (for the good) and I am now doing better at work. I wish I had not fought the idea for so long. I feel that I will continue to improve. I started out with only being able to use the machine for about 4 hours and now I am up to 6. Thanks truckerdad57 for the support you give.
I am a new member and was recently told I have sleep apnea. I am waiting on my final results from the sleep lab study and my machine. I am having a hard time at work and making a lot of mistakes, could lose my job. I wonder how long after I get my machine will I start to see improvement.
