i’d like to know if anyone found successful strategies to improve their sleep with a lower AHI.
I recently had double jaw surgery (MMA) and a sleep tracker shows that I have less awakenings at night, but that’s mostly been replaced by light sleep, not deep or REM. I still wake up exhausted and I can’t sleep the full eight hours. I’d guess my AHI is about 5 now (but could be wrong).
over the years I think I found strategies that did lower my AHI, but nothing ever really helped me get a lot more deep sleep or sleep for full 8 hours.
i’m trying out some strategies, including Buteyko reading, which could help. But nothing works so far.
Thanks for any help!
I have a technical question: has anyone ever gotten data for OSCAR from Bluetooth? I have a Mac and can pair my laptop to the Philips Respironics Dreamstation, but it doesn't connect nor can I see the raw files. I'm happy to get an SD card, but figured this would be better if possible.
Thanks!
I’m looking for anyone with experience getting over complex sleep apnea. i’m in my 30s, relatively fit with a healthy diet. I discovered that I had sleep apnea a few years ago, and after being intolerant to initial CPAP, I got palatal expansion and turbinate reduction so I could breathe out of my nose for the first time in decades.
now that I can breathe out of my nose, I tried it CPAP again and I still get woken up by Central apneas or what I think are Central apneas. I only tried it for about a week, but I woke up so often that I didn’t wanna continue unless I knew it was gonna work.
generally, I sleep through the night and I get a decent amount of deep sleep, but I get very poor REM sleep, and regularly suffer from early awakening insomnia at around the fifth hour of sleep. it is very difficult for me to sleep longer than six hours no matter when I go to bed.
thanks for any advice people can give and let me know if I can make the question better
