I started using the CPAP 2 weeks ago. Is it normal not to be able to inhale deeply and exhale? I feel like I can not expell air.

If you feel unable to inhale deeply, some have found that turning off ramp helps. Your brain may be telling you the pressure is too high, but in actuality, contrary to the brain's assumption, it may be that the pressure is too low for your comfort. That is at least one possibility.

During allergy season, I feel starved for air at pressures below 8 cmH2O. Docs and DME personnel think they make things easier on us by keeping starting pressures low. And that is true for some users. But for many of us, a low pressure can make it harder for us to breathe to the point that we would find it difficult to fall asleep at less than full treatment pressure.
