Hi, I am new to MyApnea forum, although I have been following it since I was diagnosed with OSA 3 years ago. Without the online forums, I would not have continued with the CPAP treatment. Thank you!
I have used a Resmed Airsense 10 Auto for Her with a Nasal Pillow (Pilairo Q10) since the beginning, and used Sleepyhead successfully. Last year I moved and had to stop using my CPAP for a year, and deleted Sleepyhead from my computer.
I have recently begun using the CPAP again, but when I downloaded Sleepyhead, I had intermittent problems receiving statistics with the daily report. Just the summary of Time Used, AHI events, and how the events were distributed. Nothing at all about pressure, or any of the stats graphs. Sometimes, the stats for the previous day would show up when I imported current data. Not as timely, but still useful a day late.
Then, early this week Resmed was down most of the day for maintenance. Since it came back up, I have not been able to get any stats, at any time. Is this a Resmed issue or something I am missing on my computer?
I looked for the BrokenGL for Sleepyhead to try, but it does not download (I am using Windows XP).
Has anyone else experienced new problems with Resmed data this week? If not, any suggestions?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
I don't use the ResMed software or their site, so I can't help you there.
On SleepyHead I know it is a beta version, and has a few minor bugs, but nothing I am aware of that is serious. I just helped a friend download it from the site below and it worked fine on his laptop. The 1.0.0-Beta-2 version is what I use and is the current one available for download. It should work on Windows XL. I used the Sleepfiles.com USA download mirror site.
The symptoms you are having with getting summary data only, suggests some issues with your data card. If the CPAP cannot write to the data card it only saves summary data. Make sure the data card is fully inserted in the ResMed machine, and the card is unlocked. You should see a message on the ResMed pop up briefly when you insert it showing the card is being prepared for use. Then when you put the card in your computer so SleepyHead can read it, make sure it is in the locked position. Some users apparently have trouble with the computer writing to the card and that messing up the formatting of the card.
Hope that helps some
Thank you. The SD card is locked when I put it into my computer and unlocked when it is in the CPAP machine. Each night the display on the CPAP tells me to wait while it initializes the SD card -- I cannot proceed until it does. I see the available bars (cell connection) on the display when it is ready. The ResMed MyAir site captures the data from the card just fine. Just not as much useful detail as Sleepyhead. Soooo, I tried again to import the stats from last night's session. I use a SD card reader that plugs into a USB port on my computer. WHOAA!!!! Dreaded Blue Screen of Death on my monitor. Have not seen that for a looooong time. So, card is okay, computer is okay (it re-booted just fine), CPAP is okay (initialized the card again this a.m.) It must have been the card reader............ Thanks for your feedback. Update: Bought a new SDHC card reader and all the stats are back! Thanks for pointing me to the source of the problem.
