Has anyone had success with keeping your mouth closed using the nasal mask? I had success during my first of treatment but it's gone bad from there. I tried to use a chin strap but couldn't fall asleep

I had to use the chin strap and it had to be really tight. I'm just more comfortable with mouth open. I hear that you get used to it after awhile and eventually don't need it, but I don't know if that's true.

I use the Breathewear Halo chin strap and while it is fairly snug, it does help keep my mouth closed. However, I have found that if I really want my mouth to stay closed all night, I need to tape my mouth shut with 1" paper medical tape as well. Sounds much worse than it really is. Some may get away with using the paper tape only, and not the chin strap, but I was not able to. I've tried two different full face masks and really could not make them work at all.
