I received my Resmed 10 Autoset for Her. Accessing the clinical settings I noticed that there are many more settings than with the DreamStation. I know that the pressure is very specific to each person's needs, but I was more wondering about the other more comfort related settings.

What settings do you have and why?

For comfort I use the following settings:

Ramp Time: Auto

Start Pressure: 8.4 (you may have to set lower. It can be equal to but not higher than your minimum pressure)

EPR: On

EPR Type: Ramp Only

EPR Level: 3

Climate Control: Auto (should default to this with Climate line hose)

Tube Temp: 27 C

Hope that helps some. This setup provides the most comfort to go to sleep (EPR 3), and the most effective treatment once you go to sleep (No EPR).

What do you have for response? What exactly is the difference in EPR level? I don't quitte understand that part. What would be an optimal tube temperature; which factors do I have to consider?

I leave Response in the default standard mode. Have not tried soft. The EPR Level is the number of cm of pressure that it reduces on exhale. Makes breathing out easier. If you set Ramp Start pressure to 7 cm, then you will get 7 cm on inhale, and 4 cm on exhale. 27 C is the default tube temp, and I find it works well in Canada.

I also have Smart Start turned on for convenience.
