Hi @barbz. Winx therapy is sometimes used to treat sleep apnea. It is much less common than CPAP and other forms of positive pressure treatment. Winx uses Oral Pressure Therapy and draws the soft palate forward while stabilizing the tongue to help open the airway. It does this by applying light vacuum pressure to help pull the soft palate forward to allow breathing through the nose. Dan, what are the potential side effects of that treatment? And do you have any sense of how often docs actually LOOK in people's noses? Dr Thomas was the first one who ever did, and that was only after finally I got an ENT to check it and try to fix it. The airway begins in the nose, doesn't it?
