Hello all
I am fairly new to this forum. Currently using ResMed AirSense 10 autoset for her with a Respironics DreamWear full face mask .(The one with nasal pillows).
My AHI numbers are quite good (below 1) although I do get sleep onset apeneas now and then. I am at a CPAP pressure of 11CM with no EPR and a ramp time of 15 minutes.
Of late, I have been noticing a lot of leaks with my mask. I tried using remzz mask liners but to no avail. I really like the mask as it is less bulky than others and the fact that the tubing is attached to the top rather than in front of the nose.
I am afraid I am not the one to give advice on making full face masks seal. I couldn't do it, but was using pressures near 15 cm when I was trying it. Hopefully someone with that specific mask can give you some help. I have resorted to mouth taping and a P10 nasal pillow. Also using a fixed 11 cm of pressure.
On your sleep onset apneas you might want to try eliminating the ramp if you can go to sleep with the 11 cm of pressure. If nothing else it will allow the machine to report the apnea and identify what type of apnea it is.
However, for comfort I would use the auto ramp. It has the advantage of holding the pressure to a comfortable level that you select, and then increasing it when you go to sleep. One issue with the timed ramp is that it will go to the end of the time period even if you go to sleep. Then you could have an apnea and the machine will not respond to it. It ignores events during the ramp.

Most of the events occur well after the ramp time of 15 minutes. And they are not true apneas so not recorded or reported by sleepyhead or resmed. They more resemble RERA events less than 10 seconds in duration. I have noticed that if i am not asleep in 30-45 mins I start getting these events. If I asleep by that time, then no worries
I believe we have the same mask, but mine is a Philips dreamwear full faced mask. I found that if the leak is coming from the nose area, to actually lower the mask a bit and make it looser. Pressing the pillow up against the nostrils seems to squish the pillow and not allow it to do its job. If the leak is coming from the mouth area, it should also be fairly loose, but not quite as loose as the nasal area.
I hope this helps, I too am a new user, but found fixing the leak to be fairly quick and easy.

Most of the leaks seem to come from the nasal area and I noticed that higher pressures lead to more leaks. I could see sybstantial improvement by reducing the pressure from 11 to 10. Do you know any full face masks that attach the tube from the top?
