1st problem: I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea in late August: I've been using my cpap machine everyday for one month; The Resmed machine; I went to the website to register and monitor my sleep; I could not get any data; it kept showing that I did not use it and I did everyday; i moved the machine around to get the bars to full but only get 2 bars no matter where i move it; the doctor told me to bring in the scan disk; it showed nothing; he got me another machine; same problem; when i go to the website it had a couple of days data but most nothing; the Resmed co told me they pick up signals from the cell towers; cell phones in my building don't pick up good reception;; ??? my doctor said lets wait another month see what happens when I bring in the new scan disk; 2nd problem; I wake up every night around 3 am clear the tube of water and have a stuffy nose; I can;t get back to sleep have to wake up 4:52 am; this happens all the time; some time I keep the mask off at 3 am because I can't breath; this is annoying and i am getting less sleep since I started this; but continue to go thru this because my health very important: help help help there has go to be a solution; my doctor gave me various masks and nose pillows still stuffy nose; I use a steroid nasal spray and or saline solution at times not sure what to do ; it is frustrating; i can see why some won't continue to use the machine but I am concerned for my health and will go thru anything to make it better...please advise

Sorry that this isn't going a bit smoother for you. First, the RESMED machine will typically send back info on a night's sleep as you already know. After a second machine, it is kind of obvious, reception isn't adequate to make the transmission possible all the time. Get some Sleepyhead software and learn how to load it and interpret the results. The Sleepyhead software provides a lot more into than the RESMED does.

Next, you wake up with water in your supply tube as I understand it. You need to find a way to loop the tube up over something (like a bed post) higher. This will keep a lot of the condensation going back to the water reservoir. Never overfill the reservoir and that will put enough water into your nose to make you miserable. The water in your supply tube is called "rainout" and here is a video that suggests ways to mitigate the problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNTmvty7RxE&feature=youtu.be

Hi AmicableRubySquid6386. One reason condensation can occur is if your humidifier is setting is too high. When the setting is too high, the water evaporates from the water tank and then condenses in the tube. Heated tubing, an option on some machines, can help prevent this. Tubing insulation also helps for some. I encourage you contact your equipment provider if this problem continues to see if they can offer heated tubing or adjust the machine's settings to help control the condensation. My current machine automatically adjusts the humidification and tubing temperature if it set to do so. Some machines allow independent adjustment of the humidifier and the heated tubing. If you do not have heated tubing, try lowering your humidity setting one level and see if it improves both the condensation and your stuffiness. If not, try going down another level the next night. These are just a couple of tips, but your equipment provider should help you troubleshoot. Best wishes!
