Yes, for sure I travel with my CPAP. It is considered a medical device, so it can be taken on board when you fly as an extra item at no charge. I also take it when we travel with our trailer. Both my wife and I use one, and we are equipped to run the CPAP's off 12 volt power in the trailer when we are not connected to 110 volt AC.
Our son also uses a CPAP and his insurance paid for a travel device as well as his AirSense 10 home unit. He found it too noisy and gave it to his parents. My wife has used it a few times, but prefers her normal home ResMed. There are issues with travel CPAP's. The ResMed AirMini for example only uses a couple of special masks, so you most likely have to change masks to use it. It does not have a real humidifier like a home device. The Z1 Auto that our son gave us is a bit noisy, has no humidifier, but does use normal masks. It is very expensive though.
We find the standard ResMed AirSense 10 packs up quite easily and is reasonably compact and light. It comes with a good travel case that straps to a wheeled luggage unit.
