What to do? I have tried the nasal pillow but my jaw drops open...tried the chin strap but I have to have it so tight ...it hurts. Please help!

The jaw drop issue has been talked about MANY times, even in the past few months. Take a second to read related posts. First, not sure what a "mask picky" is but am guessing you had problems with the full face mask when your jaw dropped. I will say that there are a couple of ways to mitigate the jaw drop issue. I had this problem for over a year and fixed it by using an athletic mouthpiece of the sort that you drop in hot water and then stick in your mouth and it forms to your bite. Called "Century Adult Double Mouth Piece" on Amazon.com. $3.88 plus shipping and I would buy a couple because if you are a guy like me, directions are foreign to my limited thinking. I ruined the first I attempted to fit by not following them... anyway, the mouth guard keeps my jaw from dropping and I put the bottom edge of a full face mask in the hollow under my lower lip. It works for me. Others have used the band you have tried and some tape their mouth shut. I personally don't want to go there but it does work for some. What masks do you own and what mode/pressure(s) does your machine operate? That goes a long way, beyond mask fit, to ensure that you don't end up with a mask that doesn't work.
