I am female, not overweight, late 40's, was diagnosed w/ sleep apnea in April of last yr. I have been using the CPAP mask from day one w/out exception. I felt like a new person for several months. In October, I showed sudden dramatic increase in events and became very tired again. Pressured was increased, things improved but I continue to experience debilitating fatigue. I was just prescribed Armodafinil 150 mg (second day). I read a lot of negative things about it, i.e. tolerance, benefits decrease over time, etc. I have headaches, but I read those should go away w/in days. What is your experience? Thank you,

I also was diagnosed last year at age 45 (female). I used CPAP for 9 months without improvement. My neurologist put me on Nuvigil 200 mg and sleep Dr titrated me to BI-PAP last week. I sometimes cut my pills in half to cut down on side effects. The Drs hope my new BI-PAP will decrease my need for Nuvigil soon. It keeps me awake during the day but I'm not comfortable. I think of it like a temporary trade off.
