Hello all, I was hoping someone wouldn’t mind offering any advice if they have it. Im a 33 year old man average build. I’d been diagnosed with sleep apnea years ago. I’ve done pallet surgery, used a cpap, and for years, an oral appliance was working well. In the last few months, a severe and sudden nasal congestion takes over rapidly while im trying to fall asleep. And persists until I resort to mouth breathing. This used to be an issue a while ago until I started Flonase. That and all other nasal sprays fail to stop this sudden congestion, not sure if I’m tolerant to it by now. The only way to describe it is like a sleep apnea event but in your nose, over and over. My next step is nasal pillow cpap therapy, and after that, more nasal surgery. I’ve already had turbinate reduction which did not help at all. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks for any helpful replies.
About all I can says is that I use a nasal pillow mask and I find it reduces my congestion. I used to use Otrivin but have not used it for a long time. I know you can't use it for more than a week or so or it stops working.
