We bought a travel trailer this year and are struggling with finding a power source for my husband's vpap machine while we are camping where there is no electricity. Does anyone have any successful ideas for power sources while camping?
My motor home has two batteries, one is a normal starting battery and the other is a deep cycle battery. They are wired so that they both are charged from the engine's alternator. Under the hood is a simple dipole blade switch that disconnects the two when you have reached your destination. Use that deep cycle battery to power appliances with an inverter for the 110v ones. the deep cycle battery (s) may be recharged with solar panels for extended stays. This ensures that your RV should start when you leave.

A folding solar panel and a marine deep cycle battery can help, if the weather cooperates. I have a red Honda generator that I can just plug my machine into and that works well, too. Run the generator outside, of course! Always good to have more than one source of power.
