I have just started using AirSense 11 machine and have tried several masks with assistance from my Sleep Lab. I finally thought the N30i pillow would be most comfortable. However, most nights, my sleep is interrupted by loud popping sounds, seeming to come at the attachment point on top of the head. I have checked every fitting and everything is secure. I have lookied on the forum for this topic, but can't find anything. Any one know a solution for this?

I have no experience with this N30i mask. The only popping sounds I have experienced from the mask/hose is when I moved my machine while full of water and the water somehow overflowed into the hose. That definitely causes a gurgling/popping sound. Another possibility if you are not using a heated hose is that condensation is collecting in the hose. Using a heated hose generally prevents that. If by any chance the popping sound is coming from the machine, and if the reservoir on the A11 is similar to the A10, I have found it can make popping sounds if the water reservoir is not firmly pushed into the slot. These sound occur with each breath. I suspect the silicone seals inside are flopping around and making the sound.

Thanks for the quick reply. I do not have heat tubing. I will check to see if there is condensation and if water has overflowed through movement. The chamber is tightly set into the machine. I wonder if I put no water in the chamber, the problem would cease. Anyone have this experience? Is it a problem, other than having dry air, not to use the humidifier?

I would hang the hose up to drip dry. Some use a "cozy" around the hose to keep condensate from forming in the hose. I think it is better to use a heated hose. If you don't fill the humidifier you should go into the setup to turn the humidification off.

Just be certain that there is NO heat on in either the humidifier or the hose, or things will get REALLY dry....

Thanks... I dried out the hose by just detaching fromthe maske and running the machine. I will see if my provider will authorize a heated hose or I will turn it off. Many thanks
