Hi All. I've been using a resmed10 with an F10 nasal pillows mask for 18 months. All is well apart from blocked ears, sore eyes and sinus issues. I'm not a mouth breather but wondered if switching to a full face mask would help alleviate these side effects? Thanks

I started out with a ResMed P10 nasal pillow mask 4 years ago. Over the first few months I tried about 6 different masks including two full face masks. I liked the full face ones the least of all. They are hard to make seal properly and the air leaks can blow in your eyes and make sleeping difficult. However many use them, so perhaps I just did not stick with it long enough. After trying those other masks I came back to the ResMed P10 and find it the best. If you want to try another nasal pillow type mask, you may want to consider the F&P Brevida. My wife uses that one, and likes it better than the P10 and better than the Mirage FX nasal mask.

I find that the nasal pillow masks are best for nasal congestion as they force you to breathe out of your nose.

I've been using the ResMed Swift FX nasal pillows for more than 10 years. The problem I encountered was not with the nasal pillows but with the pressure setting. In reducing the pressure I eliminated blocked ears and other symptoms. Contact your Dr. to revisit your pressure setting. Good Luck.

I bought a Swift FX mask and could not stand the high velocity air vents. I combined the Swift FX headgear with the P10 mask and I am very happy with the result. The P10 mask vent system is much more effective and comfortable than the Swift FX vents.

One really cannot arbitrarily change the pressure setting on a CPAP. The pressure is really determined by what is necessary to stop the apnea events.
