The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force seeks comments on a draft recommendation statement and draft evidence review on screening for obstructive sleep apnea. The Task Force determined that more research is needed to recommend for or against screening adults without symptoms. The draft recommendation statement and draft evidence review are available for review and public comment from March 29, 2022 to April 25, 2022 here.

The Task Force posted a draft recommendation statement and draft evidence review on screening for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in asymptomatic adults. The draft statement concludes that the current evidence is insufficient to assess the balance of benefits and harms of screening for OSA.
What are your thoughts and lived experiences? Would early screening for sleep apnea have changed the health and well-being for you or someone you know?
