Hi, for several months now my sleep with the device has been less good, at the beginning of the treatment my number of sleep stops was between 1-2 per hour, and for several months now it is between 3-4 per hour, my pressures are between 5-7 I wanted to know if it is worth me to increase with them ( Is it considered high or low pressure?) And if so for how much?
Another thing I wake up I have a mild lung pain in the morning I wanted to know is this a familiar phenomenon?
Pressures between 5-7 cm would be considered low. However, it is not a good idea to blindly just increase pressure. The best way to find out what is going on is to download a free software program called OSCAR. Providing your machine has a SD card that captures the data you should be able to display your data with a PC or Mac that has a SD card reader. Most ResMed and Phillips DreamStation machines can do it. Post again if you need help with OSCAR. You reported a pressure of 5-7. Is that a min and max setting?
It is not normal have mild lung pain. Sometimes new users that are using a much higher pressure will report some chest pain, but that should not be an issue after being on it for months at your low pressure. Having events 3-4 times an hour is technically OK, but most achieve a lower AHI than that.
