Hi , I have very high bipap pressures 23/16, so dryness is rough....I actually need a hot beverage nightly at three am, up......every night! Tonight I'm removing coiled hose .....trying just humidifier like old days! I've come to conclusion it's the way it is.....and I accept three hr or 3.5 hr sleep segments, two nightly!?!?

Everyone reacts to therapy differently. Dry mount can be countered by using Orahealth Xylimelts Mints. These mints melt very slowly and last all night. You put them between cheek and gum and no more dry mouth. I buy mine from amazon. Can't help you with the claustrophobic reaction to the heated hose. I don't use a heated hose although I have several. I use the non-heated and have used it now for about 3-4 years. I run humidity level at 3 and my bipap pressure is 25/21. I am not sure why I don't get dry mouth but I certainly did when I had high mask leaks.
