My 86 year old mother was diagnosed with central and obstructive sleep apnea in 2018 and has been using an ASV machine ever since. This morning, I found her 3 times within 2 hours with the Brevida mask on her face but the machine was not pushing air. It’s as if the machine decided that she was awake and no longer wearing the mask. Does this mean that the machine is not working correctly or is she holding her breath so long that the machine thinks she’s no longer sleeping? I don’t know what to do about this. Thank you for your help!
The best thing you can do is download OSCAR and view the detailed data on the SD card. Make sure there is a card in the machine. It takes a 4 to 32 BG SDHC card. You need a SD card reader to get the data from the card to your PC or Mac.
There is an app that runs on android and iOS called Sleep HQ that you could try. I have never used it, but I think there is a somewhat limited free version that you can use.
